The word meditation is derived from two Latin words meditatri and mederi. Meditatri means to think to inhabit to exercise the mind. Mederi means to heal. It is a Sanskrit foundation ‘medha’ means prudence.

Meditation is a practice of turning your attention to single point of reference, may it be focusing on breath, on body sensation. It can also be said as turning your attention away from the distracting thoughts and focusing on present moment.
